Garage Sale Week...

I have been wanting to start a whole house purge and when my mom told me we were doing a garage sale I jumped at the opportunity.  I cleaned our closet, got rid of the tubs of clothes from my chubbier days, went through kitchen cupboards...if we didn't use it, it was on the chopping block. I managed to fit it all in my car with the only spot not being occupied by junk was the driver seat and of course Lincoln's spot in the back. 

Thankfully my brother Josh has the holy grail of garages! One it is HUGE and two it's air conditioned! Who could ask for a better garage sale setting???  We organized and tagged and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday selling, selling and selling some more! Overall I would say it was a success! After the sale I sent a ton of stuff to Goodwill and managed to only come home with two tubs of clothes headed to Stuff and Houseworks to hopefully make a few extra bucks.

The purging will continue, but I think most of what leaves the house next will go straight to the dump!

Envious...

So Thursday and Friday I had Smart Board training and obviously I couldn't take my child so he spent his two days with my mom and sister-in-law Crystal...and I spent my first full days without him.

It definitely helped that he was with family but it still sucked and makes me even more depressed to think about passing him off to a babysitter everyday once August rolls around. I'm definitely not looking forward to it.

Maybe some day I will be able to stay home with my kids...I'm so envious of those who are fortunate enough to be able to do that, but until then I'll cherish these summer days with my little man.

Memphis entertaining Lincoln with her "Hi Baby" routine and she is the only person who has been successful in giving my child a bink and he actually kept it in his mouth!

Just preparing the little monkey to be an adrenaline junky like his dad :) This is also a new distraction technique I discovered a few days ago...and it is quite the leg workout!

Boji Baby

We spent the weekend in Okoboji celebrating a wedding with our life long friends The Stouts.  I would say the trip was a success for the most part. Lincoln was a road trip champ, sleeping all but about 30 minutes of the almost 6 hour drive...can't complain about that! He also took his first ever swim and he and I both loved it! At the wedding I showed him some sweet dance moves and we had a good ole time! Lessons learned on this trip...don't just pack extra clothes for your kid, pack them for everyone, in this case daddy and a Tide stick will definitely be joining the diaper bag tools! Poor Todd went through three shirts in the first day and a half and fell victim to a bit of blowout at the wedding...Happy Father's Day!

Lincoln had his two month appointment today! Doc says he is just perfect and he is growing like crazy!

Height: 24" long
Weight: 13.4lbs
Head: 40cm

So that puts him in the 75 percentile for height and weight and 50th for head.

On the down side he had to get shots today too...poor little buddy!

And to end on a positive note he slept through the night last night! Not going to complain about that!

The Crib...

So up until last night Lincoln has been sleeping in his rock n play next to my side of the bed. We decided to start making the transition to his crib at two months and I guess we could consider night one a success! He slept till about 3:30 and fell back asleep until about 8:00 when he woke up all smiles for Mommy :)
